Temperature safety guidelines
Worms are sensitive to heat and cold during transit. This guide shows how outside temperatures affect shipment safety — keep in mind that packages inside delivery vehicles can run 20–30°F hotter than the outside air.

Helpful shipping tips
A little preparation goes a long way. Follow these tips to make sure your worms arrive healthy and ready to work.
- Live worm orders ship every Monday so your worms won't sit in a warehouse over the weekend
- Track your package daily once it has shipped — you'll know exactly when to expect it
- Bring your package inside immediately upon delivery — even a few minutes in the sun matters
- Never leave worms in a mailbox or on a sunny porch — heat builds up fast in enclosed spaces
- Keep worms out of direct sunlight after delivery and store them in a cool, shaded spot
